HOw Do I set Financial Goals?

Budgeting?  Is that a dirty word?

To set any kind of goal, whether it be financial, or related to other parts of life follow these three simple steps….

A. Work out what you want

As in, when you think of your finances, what is it you want to achieve. For example, “I want to own my own car”

B. Work our where you are

Do some research and be honest with yourself about where you are right now.

For example.....

I've saved $500, banks will

loan me $5k on my current

pay.  I want a car for $7k -

I am $1500 short.  Need to save, or choose a cheaper car

C. Set S.M.A.R.T. goals to get from B to A

Some goals are SMART, others; not so much.
